This project was created to provide a Discord server with quotations from the users that had accumulated the years, in the style of an IRC bot that used to fulfil the same purpose.
The bot reacts to commands prefixed with the ! character, like !status and !quote .
Upon start up, the bot builds a Whoosh index from a hord, which it then uses to search and deliver quotes when a user submits a request to it. The help for the bot's various features are built from the docstrings of the functions which implement those features.
